Ding Wenjiang's View of Chinese and Western Culture

丁文江是民国时期身跨学术和政治的高级学者和政治文化名人,被誉为"欧化最深的人"。传统文化与近代西方文化都对他产生了深远的影响,以致于中西文化都在他的思想上留下深深的烙印,他是中西文化交流的产物。与欧化主义、文化虚无主义与文化保守主义相比,他的中西结合、兼容并畜的中西文化观无疑具有科学性与进步性。这些均源于他文化思想意识中高度的文化自觉和科学理性。

During the period of the Republic of China,Ding Wenjiang was a senior scholar and political cultural celebrity,crossing academic, politics and cultural, was honored as the ＂Europeanization＂. Traditional culture and modern western culture produced a far-reaching impact on him, so that the Chinese and Western culture marked a deep imprint in his thoughts. He is the product of cultural exchange between China and the West. Compared with the Westernization, cultural nihilism, cultural conservatism, his cultural perspective of combination of Chinese and western, compatible and livestock of the Chinese and Western cultural view undoubtedly has scientific and progressive significance. All of these originate from the high cultural consciousness and scientific rationality in his cultural ideology.
