Wittgenstein and Pragmatism

越来越多的学者关注维特根斯坦与实用主义的关系问题。他们一方面探究实用主义哲学对维特根斯坦哲学可能产生的影响,尽力寻找二者之间的相似之处,另一方面又寻求如何将这两种思想更加密切地关联起来,直至宣布"维特根斯坦-实用主义结合体"的诞生,并开始探讨如何将它用于解决急切的现实问题。这些探讨具有积极的理论和现实意义,但这其中仍然存在着不少难以解决的学术问题,尤其是长期以来形成的关于维特根斯坦哲学的多种解读之间的矛盾冲突问题,以及如何实现维特根斯坦哲学与实用主义的真正结合的问题。

More and more scholars focus on the problem of the relationship between Wittgenstein and pragmatism. On the one hand, they explore the possible influences of pragmatist philosophy on Wittgenstein＇s philosophy, seeking to find similarities between the two; and on the other hand, they explore how to relate them more closely. Some scholars even seek to establish the so-called ＇the Wittgenstein-pragmatism nexus＇, and begin to inquire how to apply it to solve the urgent human problems. All the inquiries are of positive theoretical and practical significances, yet there still remain some difficult academic problems worthy of further exploration, especially that of the long-term conflict among different readings of Wittgenstein＇s philosophy, and that of how to achieve the real combination of Wittgenstein＇s philosophy and pragmatism.
