Strategies and measures for Wuhan transportation development are discussed with regard for the five following aspects: reconciling transportation construction and economic development; readjusting and optimizing the transportation structure, and promoting the development of various transportation ways; perfecting transportation construction functions, and improving the facilities, effectiveness and comfortableness of transportation; emphasizing on the sustainable development and controlling transportation gas and noise pollution; developing transportation based on the progress of science and technology.
