Eighty Years' Research of Chinese Village Regulations and Folk Conventions

中国乡规民约的学术研究兴起于民国,至今已经走过八十余年的历程。20世纪50至80年代的30年间它曾一度沉寂;改革开放之后复归于繁荣;在以后很长一段时间内仍会是一门显学。以往的研究呈现出多学科交叉、区域性增强、与时政相勾连等特点。还有一些问题需要引起重视例如:乡规民约的概念界定在学术界尚未达成一致,一些重要历史时期和一些重要区域的乡规民约关注不够,重要政治人物乡规民约思想的研究亟待开展。

The research of Chinese village regulations and folk conventions started in the Republic time and has so far lasted over 80 years.It was silent during the 30 years from 1950 sto 1980s;but it became prosperous again after the practice of the Open-Door Policy and will remain active for some time in the upcoming years.Previous researches in this area have their own characteristics,such as multidisciplinarity,regionality and strong association with current political and social events.However,there are also some problems.For example,the problem of defining the village regulations and folk conventions have not yet been clarified;the rural provision in some important provinces or historical periods has not received enough attention;and the study of the thoughts of important political figures on village regulations and folk conventions has not been concerned.
