屈原缘何魂归彭咸

Why did QU Yuan suicide,following PENG Xian's example?

屈原笔下的彭咸究竟是何神人,历来颇多猜测,尚无定论。而对彭咸身份的厘定则关系到屈原研究的诸多方面,如屈原为何投水自沉、其是否具有浓厚的"神仙"观念等。从宗教神话学的角度,结合彭咸的神话质地,通过对巫彭、巫咸、咸池、玄冥等的比较,发现"彭""咸"是先秦时期广为人知的神祇,且为巫者之宗主神。而"咸池"则与"玄冥"相类,意指宇宙瀛海,既是灵魂的归所,又是彭咸所居之处。屈原"从彭咸之所居"沉渊而死,其实就是魂归玄冥这一生生不息的宇宙生命之流。

Who is PENG Xian in Chu Ci written by QU Yuan? It has a lot of speculations,and no conclusion. And the determination of PENG Xian's identity revoles in many research problems on QU Yuan,such as why QU Yuan drowned himself,whether he has strong 'immortal'idea. From the perspective of religious mythology,combined with PENG Xian's myths,through comparing such nouns in ancient Chinese mythology as Peng,Xian,Xianchi,Xuanming,it is found that Peng and Xian are well known Gods in the pre Qin period,and they are also the chiefGods in witch culture. Xianchi is similar to Xuanming,meaning the universe which is not only the final destination of soul,but also the place of PENG Xian to live in. QU Yuan drowned himself,following the example of PENG Xian,which means his soul returning to universe.
