Obama Adm inistration's Nuclear Security Diplomacy:Features and Future Trend

当今世界,国际核安全形势复杂而严峻,核扩散风险、核恐怖主义威胁和全球核电发展带来的诸多安全挑战,已成为全球治理的重要课题,需要中美等大国协调应对,解决核安全管什么、谁来管和怎么管的现实问题。习近平主席在总体国家安全观中把核安全列为中国国家安全的重要领域之一,并在2014年海牙核峰会上全面阐述了中国的核安全观,明确了未来国际核安全合作的方向。值此2016年核峰会在美国华盛顿召开之际,《现代国际关系》编辑部组织有关专家学者多角度探讨国际核安全问题,以期有助于对该问题的深层思考。

Nowadays,the international nuclear situation is complicated and severe. Many security challenges brought about by the risk of nuclear proliferation,the threat of nuclear terrorism and development of global nuclear power have become the important subjects in global governance and need to be harmoniously coped with by big powers such as the US and China in order to answer the realistic questions of what are the nuclear security issues,who will and how to tackle the nuclear security issues. President Xi Jinping listed nuclear security as one of the components of China's national security in illustrating China's overall national security outlook. In The Hague Nuclear Summit in 2014,President Xi expounded China's nuclear security concept in a comprehensive way and pointed out the direction for the future international security cooperation. Before the Nuclear Summit to be held in Washington,the Editorial Department of Contemporary International Relations invited some scholars to discuss the issue of international nuclear security from various perspectives in the hope of stimulating in-depth thought of the subject.
