Using inbound tourist market concentration index, inbound tourist market competition state model and shift-share method （SSM） , this paper analyzes the trend of spatio-temporal dynamic evolution of inbound tour- ists market in Inner Mongolia from 2000 to 2013. The result shows： during the past 13 years, the market situation of inbound tourists market in Inner Mongolia has undergone great changes, the market share of Inner Mongolia in- bound tourism declined slowly, the number of foreign tourist increased a little, the number of tourists from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan fluctuated repeatedly, and the inbound tourists market is very unstable; the tourist generating region is too concentrated to be influenced easily by the major source countries Mongolia and Russia, which goes against the development of inbound tourism of Inner Mongolia; the Inner Mongolia＇ s inbound tourism market lacks the star market, the tourists source structure is incomplete; Mongolia and Russia occupy higher components in structure transfer components, while smaller components in market competitiveness transfer, which indicates that these countries and regions have huge market potential in inbound tourists source market.
