Research on the Impact of FDI on Industrial Technology Innovation:Based on the Data of Fujian

本文构建两部门经济模型,将FDI对技术创新的影响放在开放背景下,从新产品产值、专利申请和劳动生产率三个方面,系统地就FDI对福建工业技术创新的影响进行验证。研究表明,由于FDI技术保护机制以及竞争效应,短期内会导致新产品产值下降。但从长期看,FDI技术溢出对新产品产出和专利申请量都有积极的促进作用,并有利于工业全员劳动生产率的提高。

A two sector economic model was constructed to analyze the effects of FDI on technology innova- tion in open economy. It selects the three variables of new product outputs, patent applications and productivity to systematically verify the effect of FDI on Fujian Provincc industrial teclhnology innovation. Research shows that, in the short term, the new product outputs would fall, owing to the technology protection mechanism and competitive effect of FDI; But in the long run, the FDI technology spilloverhas a positive effect on the new product outputs and the amount of patent applications, and is conducive for the overall labor productivity.
