On Ink Connotation of Water and Ink Figure Painting

水墨人物画是在中国传统写意人物画的基础上衍生而来的新兴画种,对于传统笔墨的学习、笔墨语言的探索等,主要是通过水墨人物写生来完成的,写生中的笔墨已不再是技巧的训练,而是笔墨文化内涵的修炼。笔墨是中国画的核心,是中国画的根本,是民族文化和个人文化的承载方式,笔墨理论丰富,但仍是个模糊的概念。通过水墨人物写生,来继承笔墨的传统内涵,并在写生中寻求笔墨的新的文化内涵。

The water and ink figure painting is a kind of new paintings, which is derived from the traditional Chinese freehand figure brushwork. The learning from the traditional brush and ink and exploration of painting language is accom- plished through water and ink figure drawing. The brush and ink in the copying of life and figures is no longer the training of technique, but the cultivation of connotation of water and ink culture. Brush and ink is the core of Chinese painting as well as the means of carrying national culture and individual culture. Its theories are abundant, but they are still vague in terms of concept. Through the water and ink copying of figures, we can inherit its traditional connotation, and seek for the new cultural connotation in such painting.
