As a kind of open teaching mode, PBL teaching methodology carries out exploratory learning through the teacher＇s questions, which perfectly explains the methods of teachers＇＂ teaching＂ and the students ＇s ＂ learning＂. Through the understanding of the connotation of the PBL teaching methodology, the paper proposes to apply the theory in the higher vocational English teaching and explains the specific ways of implementation so as to make up for the deficiency of the traditional higher vocational English teaching, and then make the solid foundation for the formation of the ability of students＇life -long learning.
