The Improved Strategy Research on English Online Dicationary

20世纪90年代末,电子词典开始普遍流行,特别是自2011年智能手机被广泛使用以来,英语在线词典以其方便快捷等优势,受到越来越多英语学习者的青睐,纸质词典受到越来越深刻的影响。比较纸质词典与电子词典中"词目"应具备的最基本、最重要的信息可看到英语在词典中"词目"信息存在的优势与不足,英语在线词典应发挥优势、取长补短,更好地发挥工具书的作用。

The electronic dictionaries have become very popular from the end of 1990s. The smart phones have been widely used since 2011. As a result, the online English dictionaries have won more and more favor of English learners for its advantages such as convenience and efficiency. In this paper：the basic and most im- po~_nt information of an ＂item＂ in a printed english learners＇ dictionary should have is listed ; secondly, the information of an ＂item＂ in the online English dictionary should have is concluded; then, the advantages and disadvantages of the online English dictionary are analyzed; lastly, some strategies are listed on how the Eng- lish Online Dictionary should do to improve itself to serve English learners and to exploit its usages to the full.
