Taicang City, as a typical county-class city in Southern Jiangsu, has gone through the stages from town enterprises spurring urbanization to one of the top ten counties with Germany companies and port characteristics in China, then to the new-pattern city with human-centered,ecological and culture features. Against the background of new-pattern urbanization, Taicang City is in pursuit of human-based education with qualitatively balanced development, equal and harmonious education, distinguishing education with cultural connotation, and futuristically planning education.
