《新疆图志》是清末新疆官修省志,体例新颖,内容丰富,多次刊印,流传较广。《新疆图志》随纂随刊,形成有《新疆图志》官书局本和通志局本。同时,还有黄册抄本,以及以通志局本为底本,参校黄册抄本的东方学会本。《新疆图志》分志单行本印行各异,流布四方。《新疆图志》及其分志单行本,通过赠送、出版销售、期刊杂志刊载等方式广为传播,后成为治理新疆和研究西北史地的重要资料,成为学者研究新疆历史文化和官员认识新疆的必备资料。

Xinjiang Graphic Records is a set of officially compiled provincial records of Xinjiang during late Qing Dynasty with new styles and rich contents that has been published several times and widely circulated. It was published in the first time as compilation was completed,and several editions were formed over the time including the Guanshuju edition,the Tongzhiju edition,and the yellow volume copy edition. The Oriental Society edition was published by taking the Tongzhiju edition as the basis and checking against the yellow volume copy edition. Xinjiang Graphic Records were circulated in different places with various sub-records and separate editions in different sizes. These books were widely circulated in forms of complimentary copies,sales,and serializations in periodicals and magazines that later become important reference materials for Xinjiang governance and historical and geographical research of the Northwestern region,and the must-have reference materials for scholars researching Xinjiang history and culture and officials who wish to understand Xinjiang.
