On LI He's poems from the perspective of Ambiguity Theory

复义是英美新批评代表人物燕卜荪提出的文学语言的重要特征,与中国古代文论提倡言有尽而意无穷、认为语言可以包含多重含义的传统相契,这种语言的多义性在李贺的诗歌作品中体现得尤为明显,以此作为复义理论的批评文本,可以寻解中西诗歌的共通之处。

Ambiguity is an important feature of the literary language proposed by the criticism representa- tive Empson, which is accordance with traditional Chinese concept considering that one word can have dif- ferent meanings. The feature of Ambiguity can also be easily found in LI He＇s poems. Based on this, it can be concluded that there are many common features between Western and Eastern literatures.
