副文本理论视域下的《史记》英译研究

Study of the English Translation of Historical Records from the Perspective of Paratext Theory

副文本理论整合了文学的内部研究和外部研究,为翻译文学研究提供新的借鉴。副文本理论既有助于从多渠道解读译本和译者的翻译行为,也有助于挖掘译本的生产环境和接受机制。借助副文本理论研究《史记》英译本的译者翻译行为、翻译方法,同时考察副文本因素所折射出的华滋生译本和倪豪士译本的生成环境和接受机制,从而揭示副文本对翻译研究的重要意义。

Paratext theory integrates the internal and external study of literature and provides a new study perspective for translated literature.It contributes not only to interpreting the translating process but also to exploring the producing environment and accepting environment in the target language.Based on the paratext theory,the paper studies the translating process and method of Historical Records,and explains the producing and accepting environments of Burton＇s version and Nienhauser＇s version.In conclusion,paratext constitutes an inseparable part for translation studies.
