Imagination and Significance of Statistics of Chinese Classical Poetry Documents

中国古典诗歌文化源远流长,自先秦以来,历代诗人创作了大量的诗歌作品并有相当一部分流传下来,成为中国传统文化中的杰出代表。清代及以前的诗歌存世数量究竟有多少首,目前也没有一个相对准确的数字,是学界亟待解决的一个难题。以表格形式统计出每个朝代以及每个作家各种体裁的数量,对今后的文学及文献学研究无疑会有积极的促进作用。

Chinese classical poetry culture has a long history. Since pre-Qin Dynasty,the poets have created a lot of poems and a considerable part of them have been preserved,being an outstanding representative of Chinese traditional culture. There is not a relatively accurate number about how many poems that are survived in or before Qing Dynasty,which is a difficult problem to be solved at present. The statistical number of each writer with various genres in each dynasty by tables will undoubtedly have a positive promoting role for literature and document research in the future.
