Rugby game can roughen people＇ s physique and practice the pursuit of athletic spirit. The importance of developing rugby game in physical education is discussed in this paper. It is argued that teaching students contact football and flag football and holding school - leveled rugby game regularly can facilitate the development and the popularization of the game and build students＇ confidence.
