旅游英语是一门专门用途英语课程,有着自身的特点和教学要求,目的是培养既掌握旅游知识又能熟练运用英语的复合型涉外旅游人才。对ESP理论的分析结果证明了任务型教学法适合高校的旅游英语教学。同时,应注重培养学生的跨文化交际能力,以提高旅游英语的教学质量。

Tourism English is an ESP course with its own peculiarities and teaching requirements. Its purpose is to cultivate the inter-disciplinary talents with tourism knowledge and skills as well as a good command of English. The outcome of analysis on the ESP theory points out that the task-based approach is suitable for the teaching of Tourism English. Meanwhile, the cultivation of ability in intercultural communication should be stressed so as to improve the teaching quality.
