新建本科院校转型期大学英语教学问题研究

A Study on the Issues in College English Teaching in Newly-built Universities in the Transitional Period

随着高等教育的快速发展,新型的本科学校脱颖而出,简称"新建本科院校"。它可以说是市场经济迅速发展和社会发展的新型产物,从诞生那天开始就面临着诸多的问题,为了避免和缓解与传统名校的直接竞争,许多新建高校提出向"应用技术型大学"转型的发展思路。本文针对新建院校的大学英语在此转型期所面临的问题进行了分析,并提出自己的看法和建议,从而为新建本科类院校的转型提供更好的发展思路。

As a new type of higher educational institution arising from the rapid developing market economy and social development,newly- built universities are confronted with many difficulties since they appear as a result of the development of China＇s higher education. In order to avoid or lessen direct competition with top universities,many of them have determined to transform into ＂application- oriented universities＂. The paper makes analysis over the problems of these universities in college English teaching,and offers some opinions and proposals,hoping to contribute a better idea to their reform.
