在近代女性期刊中,女性作者更容易使用散文体裁来抒发感情,表达观点,因此近代女性期刊的散文创作成为前五四时代女性社会文化空间的重要实践手段。借助游记这种散文类型,近现代转型中的女性能够将传统的闺房生活和社会生活加以连接,从而积极投身女学;更有如秋瑾、陈撷芬、燕斌等女性有识之士,在政论文创作中激昂文字、参与争取女权、女性解放的斗争,彰显了性别观点、更推动了女性文学现代化进程。

Female writers tended to adopt the genre of essay to express their feelings and ideas in modern periodicals for them. Therefore,the genre became an important means for their practice in social cultural space in the ＂ Pre- May,4th＂ age. During the transition from modren to contemporary times,these female writers played an active role in the development of women studies by way of combining traditional girls＇ life with social life. Some of them,such as Qiujin,Chen Jiefen and Yan bin,etc.,even presented their passion in political editorials and took part in the fight for women＇s rights and liberation,which made female opinions more prominent and even advanced the modernization of feminine literature
