The historians in the conceptual history believe that language is a medium between us and the world, and rather than a transcendent existence,a linguistic concept is a participant and sign in social change. However, the emerging global history and entangled history challenge the belief in recent years.Based on the long studies of the concept 'civilization with etiquette,' the article rethinks the fundamental presuppositions of the conceptual history. The authors first review the history of concepts with the entangled history and explain the trans-linguistic dimension of semantic generation as the basis on which their methodology is based. Then they turn to the heyday of colonialism, with efforts to explain how the 'civilization' concept had been promoting the unequal order of global colonialism through divisions, disciplines and releases of different emotions, highlighting both the differences and the interdependent entangled relations between relevant emotions,as well as their expressions. Finally, the authors analyze the different views of temporality needed for integrating relevant concepts.
