兵器科学与技术作为一个较为完整的学科知识体系,包含了弹药技术等5个专业技术领域和燃烧与爆轰学、含能材料技术、防护技术、弹道学、兵器信息技术、兵器材料与制造技术、兵器基础技术7个基础性支撑技术领域。近年来该学科领域取得了许多技术成果。油气田用民爆器材作为一个技术应用领域,其发展尤其离不开兵器科学与技术的"滋养",借鉴吸收当代兵器科学技术成果,是促进油气田用民爆器材技术创新,推动油气田用民爆器材向更先进、更可靠、更有效方向发展的重要途径。
