With the working depth of the jack-up platform increasing continuously, the operation of pulling-out the pile becomes more and more important. If no detail information about the soils is known, the pile extraction will be confronted with danger and challenges. Many accidents about pile extraction have something to do with the deviation of the resistance forecast of pile. The process and principle of the pile extraction are analyzed to propose optimizing solutions and development proposals for the pile extraction and jetting operation of the jack-up unit.
