摘要
Being a nuclear operator is a responsibility like no other. As a power generation company, Electricite de France （EDF） has the important mission to deliver electricity to the population in order to meet its daily needs in a timely manner. On top of this public service mission, as a nuclear operator, we have the hefty respon- sibility of ensuring the safety of our facilities. It is crucial to main- tain the trust of the stakeholders, and above all that of public opinion. Although the same motto is relevant for a broad range of industrial sectors-aircraft, automotive, and construction-I believe it to be even more crucial for nuclear. Indeed, safety is the key in ensuring the development of the nuclear industry in the world today.
