This paper presents the design scheme of the monitoring system of a sewage treatment project and the composition of its control system. It elaborates the design principle of the monitoring system of the project,describes the selection of its measuring instruments,and points out the matters needing attention with respect to the design of the PLC control station. The monitoring system in the sewage treatment project has to be designed as technologically advanced,operationally stable and reliable and economically reasonable. The application of the monitoring system in the sewage treatment project can reduce allocation of administrators,lower labor cost,and greatly improves the level of automation in the sewage treatment plant.
