The Yellow River Diversion Project in Central Shanxi Province is a long distance water conveyance project including the total trunk,the east and west trunk and several regional water supply branches. The construction adit sections from the 10 th bid section to the 16 th bid section belong to the No.3 and No.4 water conveyance tunnels,which total length is 81.82 km,being constructed by the drilling and blasting method,and 27 construction adits along the total line are set up to transport the rock fragment. The paper narrates the general principle of designing these adits,the layout of their tunnle lines,the design of adit inlet,the arrange of adit bottom slope,the connect pattern of the adit with the main tunnel,the spoiling method,the cross section and lining design,etc.
