The widespread use of the key lock accessory of DW45 air circuit breaker benefits from its practical function,the simple structure and the easy installation. However,this kind of key lock is easy to be damaged not only because of its indirect operation but also because of that it does not conform the users' habits. This paper introduced the structure principle and the operational process of the key lock of DW45 air circuit breaker,and it also analyzed why it can not be locked and how it is damaged. The paper put forward a new structure form of the key lock,and it elaborated the structures composition and the principle and implementation. The improved design scheme is easy to operate,and meets the customers' habits of using key lock.
