Self-interpretation and Objective Interpretation of the Truth——The Epistemological Foundation of Walter Benjamin's Philosophy of History

本雅明认为,以往的(特别是体系哲学的)认识论都试图以认识知识的方式来掌握真理,这是对真理的误读。我们不需要也无法对真理进行一种百科全书式的认识。以科学的或者数学的方式来认识真理,这种方法本身就是问题重重的。因为这样的认识方式本身就放弃了语言意指真理的方法。而他认为,这恰恰是认识真理的真正的方法。

According to Walter Benjamin,the previous epistemology（ especially systematic philosophy） masters the truth by means of recognizing knowledge,which is a misunderstanding of the truth. There is no need or capability for us to grasp the truth encyclopedically. Understanding the truth in a scientific or a mathematic way itself has many problems,as it has abandoned the method of understanding the truth through linguistic signification,which is proposed by Walter Benjamin as a real way to approach the truth.
