摘要
基于中国英语学习者(CLEC)语料库、本族语者布朗(Brown)语料库,检索学习者与本族语者增补连接词also应用频数,采取系统抽样,分析学习者258条、本族语者107条,共365条also检索条,调查学习者also应用情况,分析学习者与本族语者also连接词用法异同及其原因。研究发现:虽然差异未达到显著程度,但学习者also使用频数明显过多;学习者also用法较集中,而本族语者较均衡;学习者but also用法密度、丰富度均比本族语者高,既连接短语结构,也连接本族语者未用的句子连接;而后从英汉句法结构差异、教材语料等语言输入、学习者语言水平等方面分析原因。
The article retrieves the frequency of additive conjunction of alsoin CLEC and Brown Corpus,analyzes the retrieved 365 examples of also application,258 ones from Chinese Foreign English Learners(FEL)and 107 ones from Native Speaker(NS)by systematic sampling,investigates the application of FEL’s also,and researches into their similarities,dissimilarities,and the prospective causes.The results report that FEL overuses also,more than NS,though not significant;FEL focuses on core and unmarked usage of also,not as balanced as NS;FEL exploits the structure of but also with more frequency and diversity,even connect a clause with phrasal structure as well;then causes of distinct usage of also between FEL and NS are explored from the perspectives of syntactic difference between English and Chinese,Input material,and FEL’s language proficiency among different levels.
