Xinjiang folk arts is a pluralistic culture and has regional characteristic. It also has relatively stable set of expression. In domestic,it plays an active and important role in oil painting creation. As a result, the article probes into the characteristics of Xinjiang national folk arts and form elements such as shape, color, material and so on,and analyzes the application of contemporary oil painting in Xinjiang lo cal and its prospect.
