象思维是中医学的基本思维方法,它可以细分为间接象模型思维和直接象模型思维两种类型。间接象模型思维具有玄思和机械的特征,直接象模型思维具有追求客观性的特征。与间接象模型思维相比,直接象模型思维更能够反映人体生理病理的实际状况。通过发展直接象模型思维来推动中医学的发展,是中医学现代化发展的一个路向。

Image thinking was the basic thinking method of traditional Chinese medicine. It could be divided into two types： the indirect image model thinking and the direct image model thinking. The indirect image model thinking was characterized by speculative and mechanical, and the direct image model thinking was objective. Compared with the indirect image model thinking, the direct image model thinking could better reflect the actual condition of the body in physiological and pathological aspects. Through the development of the direct image model thinking to promote the development of traditional Chinese medicine was a direction for the modernization of traditional Chinese Medicine.
