19世纪德国著名经济学家弗里德里希·李斯特,在世界主义经济学甚嚣尘上之际,通过对欧洲和美洲主要国家工商业发展历史考察,依据国家发展阶段和工业发展水平,推行以国家为基础的国家主义经济学。李斯特提倡国家主义、尊崇自由精神和推行适当贸易保护政策,他的经济理念至今仍然对世界各国对外贸易政策有着重要影响。

In early 19 th century, when Cosmopolitan Economics dominated this world, Friedrich·List, German famous economist,investigated the development history of industry and commerce of major countries in Europe and America,and insisted in carrying out Nationalism Economics on the foundation of nation according to the stage and level of national industry development. List advocated Nationalism,venerated the spirit of independence and pushed the appropriate policy of trade protection. So far,the economic theory of List has the important influence on international trade policy.
