摘要 Dear Editor,In plants, sugars not only serve as energy and metabolic resources but they also exhibit hormone-like activity. Sugars modulate several fundamental processes throughout a plant's life cycle, including embryogenesis, germination, vegetative growth, development, reproduction, and senescence (Eveland and Jackson, 2012; Lastdrager et al., 2014; Ruan, 2014).
