Main works of type tests of duplex stainless steel composite straight steel pipe explosive welding were introduced for the first time. The mechanical test for the base layer, the intergranular corrosion test for the composite layer, the austenite-ferrite ratio of the duplex stainless steel, the base/composite layer cohesion test and the ultimate bearing capacity of the composite pipe were emphatically introduced. The paper not only provided the reference for the following composite pipe＇s type tests, but also provided the basis for revising the related rules of composite pipe＇s type tests.
