基于语料库的《红楼梦》判词英译研究

The Study of Pan Ci's Translation in A Dream of the Red Mansions

《红楼梦》判词是这部小说中的精华,给这幅世态人情长卷《红楼梦》增加了无限色彩。判词的语言简练,内涵丰富,是翻译中的难点。基于语料库的研究方法和统计,试图从类符、形符、类符/形符比(TTR)、高频词和独特词来考察杨宪益和霍克斯在词汇层面翻译时的特征。分析杨译和霍译在判词翻译时选择不同人称视角来指代主人公的优劣,并选择三个判词翻译实例来解释二者表现出的翻译风格。

Pan Ci in A Dream of the Red Mansions is the essence of this novel,rendering the novel splendid colors. The languages of Pan Ci are concise and their connotations are rich,so it is difficult to translate these Pan Ci. Based on the corpus of research methods and statistics,this paper tries to analyze the features of Yang Xianyi and Hawks＇ vocabulary uses in translation,mainly from the type,the token,and the type- token ration（ TTR）,High- frequency words and unique words. Apart from this,the paper also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of different person perspectives referring to different protagonists,and it will make use of three specific Pan Ci＇s translation examples to explain the two translators＇ translation styles.
