The Forsyte Saga,as a representative works of John Galsworthy,a great British novelist,has drawn a large number of world- wide readers＇ attention since its publication. This thesis makes a brief analysis of the female characters based on the exact excerpts from the novel and focuses on the physical punishment and supervision on females from the perspective of Foucault＇s Body Theory.
