From “Strolling in Town Streets” to “Going to the Countryside”: On the Regional Space and Literary Field in Literary Works by Using Ye Mi's Novels as an Example

文学创作的地域空间和文学场域是我们在探讨当代中文写作时不容忽视的一个问题。文章从文学书写的地域空间以及作家自身创作的空间变迁的角度来探讨苏州当代小说作家叶弥的创作,尝试着将其带回到作家本人成长和生活的特定的文化场域,带回到滋养作家文学创作的本地书写传统及氛围中,理解并尊重作家创作的主体性,进行知根知底的现场考量。

The regional space in literary writings is an issue that should not be ignored in the research of contemporary Chinese literature. This paper explores contemporary Suzhou novelist Ye Mi＇s works from the perspective of the regional space and the changing writing places, which attempts to bring the novels back to the specific cultural field where the writer was brought up and lived. In other words, to bring the writings back to the literary tradition and atmosphere that have nourished the writer, which is a kind of down-to-earth site research, so as to understand and respect the writer＇s creative subjectivity.
