摘要约翰·斯坦贝克是20世纪最著名的美国作家之一。他的长篇小说《愤怒的葡萄》一经问世便引起了强烈的社会反响。小说反映了20世纪30年代美国经济大萧条以及生态环境极度恶化的情况下,以乔德一家为代表的大批农民失去土地,被迫西行,前往加利福尼亚谋生的种种惨痛经历。从生态女性主义角度解读这部作品,不难看出传统的男权思想和二元论是导致自然和女性长期处于从属地位的根源。作者约翰·斯坦贝克向社会发出生态危机的警告,让人们关注自然,关注女性,同时呼吁必须把解放女性和解决生态危机结合起来,在消除二元论的基础上,发展灵魂与肉体、男人与女人、人类与自然之间的和谐关系。
