五邑人职业教育实践探索研究

在解放前,五邑人在市内外创办的私立职业学校45所,主持的职业学校有18所,数量之多,全国少见。五邑人热衷开办职业教育的原因主要是出国华侨较多,强烈的爱国爱乡之情,拥有较多学习先进知识的机会,能虚心借鉴国外的先进经验。五邑人办职业教育的特点则是从事的专业非常广泛,办学适应社会需求,注重训练实用技能,服务中下阶层百姓。举办职业教育的功绩是培养了大批优秀学生,推动了地方经济和行业的发展,形成了一批有影响力的学校。不足在于缺乏后续影响,缺乏理论总结,未能培养起一支强有力的师资队伍。

Wuyi people are keen on vocational education. 45 schools were founded in Wuyi city and 18 schools are under its auspices before liberation. The main reason is many overseas Chinese running abroad.Strong patriotic feelings make them have more opportunities to learn the advanced knowledge and experience.The features are wide ranges of majors, meeting the needs of society, focusing on the training of practical skills, serving the middle and lower class people, and cultivating a large number of outstanding students,promoting the development of local economy and industry, and forming a lot of influential schools. But the shortage is that they are lack of follow-up influence, theoretical summary, and a strong team of teachers.
