通称称谓语是社会称谓语的重要组成部分,一般指不严格区分被称呼者的年龄、职业、身份、地位等,在社会上被广泛使用的表示敬意的称谓语。对汉语社会称谓语中人们普遍使用的一些通称称谓语进行语义及其语义流变的分析,可加深人们对不同的社会称谓语的语义及其差异的认识,促使人们在具体的语言交际环境中做出正确而又得体的选择,避免因称谓语的错用而导致交际失败,提高交际效率。
