The article introduces the design situation,characteristics and construction process of steel sheet pile supporting project for a building of Guangzhou Municipal Design Institute in detail,and further discusses the key links of inserting steel sheet pile by static pressure method,sloping excavation,soil abutment reinforcement and inner supporting system,explains the feasibility of central island excavation from engineering effect,which can be referred for the construction of the similar projects.
