Montan wax soap is one of the important derivatives of montan wax. The montan wax soap is obtained by treating with corresponding alkali solution . This paper reviews the synthesis method of montan wax soap. Montan wax soap is widely used in plastics processing. In this paper, the application of it as a nucleating agent is reviewed.
