TAO Delin （1931-） is a distinguished Marxist philosopher and a senior professor at Wuhan University （WHU）. He had served as the president of WHU from 1992 to 1997, and is a member of the Council of Social Sciences of the Chinese Ministry of Education. In his youth, he had been the academic assistant of Li Da, one of the creators of the Communist Party of China.
