Hu Gengshen made the hypothesis that international communication roughly consists of Daily Communication,Professional Exchange and Diplomatic Negotiation as in ＂Triple Contextual Categories（TCC）＂.The Diplomatic Negotiation context is a linguistic use with a high demand.As a basic hnguistic unit,formulaic language is a form and function closely associated with a particular context as a core in language performance.This paper explores the pragmatic functions of formulaic language in Diplomatic Negotiation Context that the use of formulaic language can effectively improve communication efficiency.
