Design Modeling and Craft Making of the Painted Decoration of Traditional Architecture in Northern Anhui

彩绘装饰艺术是皖北传统建筑装饰的重要组成部分，也是研究当地艺术文化的重要途径。皖北传统建筑装饰遍及梁柱、大小枋板，纹饰精致多样，表现手法水平高超。在材料的运用、工艺的组合及施工方法方面，彩绘装饰注重装饰特性、图案寓意及审美价值的统一，通过复杂、细致、多层次而又有机联系的手段，达到既能保护建筑木结构免受风化侵蚀，又能呈现出独特的空间艺术魅力的效果。

Painted decoration art is an important part of traditional architectural decoration in northern Anhui, it is an important channel for the artistic and cultural studies as well. Traditional architecture decorations in northern Anhui are commonly seen in beams, columns and Fang plates of different sizes, and the refinement is diversified, expression techniques are high. Through complex, meticulous, multi-level and organic connection means, it could achieve the effect which can shield timberwork building from weathering erosion, and present a unique artistic space charm.
