关联理论视角下京剧《长生殿》中文化负载词的英译

Translation of Chinese Culture-Loaded Words in The Palace of ternal Youth of Relevance Theory

文化负载词是一个民族文化的载体,文化有其独特性,也存在着共性。在关联理论视角下,不同文化间的交流就是要达到最佳关联,使译文读者通过最小的努力,感受到和原文读者同样的阅读效果。《长生殿》是京剧的传统剧目,也是当时历史时期政治文化生活的缩影,具有中华文化特色的代表性。文章从关联理论出发,从生态、物质、宗教、社会、语言五个方面探究京剧《长生殿》英译本中文化负载词的处理。

Culture- Loaded Words are cultural carrier of each nation. Culture is unique,but there are a lot in common in different cultures. From the perspective of relevance theory,the communication between different cultures is to achieve optimal relevance,so that the target readers can feel similar effects like source- language readers through minimal efforts. The Palace of Eternal Youth is one of the traditional Beijing operas,was the epitome of political and cultural life in that period of history,and also have the characteristics of the Chinese cultural. This paper mainly study on how to deal with Culture- loaded Words in English Versions of The Palace of Eternal Youth through ecology,material culture,social culture,religious culture and linguistic culture.
