再议《绣像小说》的停刊时间——读《申报》刊《绣像小说》广告札记

Revisiting the Closure Time of the Journal of the Novel with Embroidered Portraits——Reading the Notes of Advertisements in Shen Bao

《绣像小说》的停刊时间曾有定论。上世纪80年代,张纯从《绣像小说》所刊时调歌曲、小说与史实的关系、樽本照雄从当时各种报刊所刊《绣像小说》发行广告这两种不同角度确认了《绣像小说》出版延期的事实,并由此认定《绣像小说》的停刊也出现了延期。近年来,文迎霞结合《新闻报》的广告也讨论了《绣像小说》停刊延期,但目前对《绣像小说》的停刊时间并未有统一的结论。笔者发现樽本照雄所制《〈绣像小说〉刊行一览》所收《申报》刊《绣像小说》广告与实际有较大出入,《申报》所刊《绣像小说》实际有惠书致谢、专门广告、商务印书馆说部广告等三种。根据《申报》广告的实际情况,笔者认为虽然目前有时间较为一致的《绣像小说》第72期的广告,但后期广告的精确性不如前期,《绣像小说》停刊的时间上限应为1907年1月30日。

In the 1980 s,Zhang Chun studied the relationship of the popular songs,novels with the historical facts published on the journal,and Zunben Zhaoxiong studied the distribution of the advertisements published in the other newspapers and periodicals.Therefore,they both questioned the closure time of the Journal of the Novel with Embroidered Portraits.So far the journal＇s closure time is still unknown.There are some mistakes in Zunben Zhaoxiong＇s study since the advertisements in Shen Bao fell into three kinds,which can reflect the publication process.Shen Bao,Dagong Bao and Xinwen Bao have the similar advertisements in the journal＇s final issue.However,the advertisements are not as accurate as they were in the previous period.The closure time may be after January 30,1907.
