我国是统一的多民族国家,加强和谐发展的民族关系是构建和谐社会关系的基础,这对于民族聚居地区尤其如此。内蒙古自治区地处我国北部边疆,其民族关系的发展变化在一定程度上影响到省内各民族间的团结与发展和国家边疆的和平与稳定。建国以来,内蒙古地区的民族关系呈现出新的特点,但随着经济和社会的飞速发展,也显现出不足之处。如何处理好民族关系中存在的问题,加强内蒙古民族关系持续和谐发展成为民族地区工作的重要内容和任务。

China is a unified multi-ethnic country,harmonious national relationship could lay the foundation for building harmonious society,especially in the minorities regions.Inner Mongolia autonomous region is located in China＇s northern border,the development and changes of national relationship in this region could affect the unity of various nationalities and the peace of the country＇s border in some extent.The national relations in inner Mongolia region have shown some new characteristics since the founding of our Republic,but it has reveal a series of shotcomings with the rapid development of economics and society.How to deal with the problems existing in the national relationship and strengthen the harmonious development of ethnic relations in Inner Mongolia has become an important part of the work and tasks in ethnic minority areas.
