摘要
以加拿大社会为例究,讨论了影响二代移民的继承语习得的因素和造成继承语面临流失的因素,并对继承语的流失对二代移民的文化性身份认同所产生的影响进行了探讨。文章提出在二代移民中保护并鼓励继承语的学习有非常重大的意义;加拿大主流社会应该支持二代移民的继承语学习,并通过增强多元文化社会中的语言平等进一步促进文化平等。
This paper, in the context of Canadian society, provides a detailed discussion of the influential factors on immigrant students' heritage language (HL) study, while analyzing the reasons for HL loss among those students. Furthermore, this essay also discusses the effect of HL loss toward immigrant cultural identity. As a result of this discussion, this paper suggests HL study among immigrant students should be encouraged and supported. Canadian mainstream society should support and develop HL study and promote cultural equality after enhancing language equality in this multicultural society.
