新时期意识形态建设作为中国特色社会主义实践的重要领域,事关党的前途和命运,事关国家的长治久安,事关民族的凝聚力和向心力。中办、国办印发的《关于进一步加强和改进新形势下高校宣传思想工作的意见》为做好新形势下高校意识形态工作提供了基本可循的科学指南。作为新时期意识形态建设的前沿阵地,高校肩负着学习研究宣传马克思主义、培养中国特色社会主义事业建设者和接班人的重要任务,因此做好高校意识形态工作,保持和发展学生党员的质量成为当前高校党建工作中的一大任务。

Ideological construction in the new period as an important field of the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics, a matter of the party＇s fate, a matter of national security, and a matter of national cohesion and centripetal force. On Further Strengthening and Improving Propaganda and Ideological Work in Colleges and Universities under the New Situation of the Opinions by General Office of the Central Committee and General Office of the State Council provides the basic scientific guidelines to do a good job in ideological work in colleges and universities under the new situation. As the forefront of ideological construction in the new period, universities are supposed to shoulder the mission of promoting the propaganda of Marxism, and being builders and successors of socialist cause with Chinese characteristics of important tasks; therefore, doing the ideological work in colleges and universities and maintaining and developing the quality of student party members become a major task in current college party construction.
